What is sea moss?

Sea moss, also known as Irish moss is a type of red seaweed that grows predominantly along the coasts of North America and Europe, especially in colder waters.

Sea moss is rich in various minerals such as iodine, potassium, calcium, and magnesium, as well as vitamins, including vitamin C, B-vitamins, and vitamin A. It also contains carrageenan, a natural gel-like substance, alongside proteins, dietary fiber, and antioxidants.

The problem is it tastes disgusting, which is why we've put it into tasteless capsules.

Sea moss vs Synthetic Multivitamin tablets

Multivitamins pills often contain synthetically-produced vitamins and minerals. The term "synthetic" when it comes to vitamins generally refers to vitamins created in a lab setting rather than extracted from food sources.

Certified organic and made from sea moss powder

Highly recommended! I've been looking for sea moss supplement for some time now but I wasn't happy with the ingredients; most of the pills on the market contain sea moss extract rather than sea moss powder, so once I came across those capsules (made from the powder) I decided to give them a go. The delivery was super quick, I love the ingredients and the fact that they are certified organic, which was also important to me. After 2 weeks I can see some improvement in my energy level, and I hope my immunity will get better, too (I guess I will find out in Winter :) ).

Small and easy to swallow tablets

I have been taking these now for a couple of months now and I personally feel really well and cannot remember the last time I felt unwell. I don’t think this is just a coincidence as my immune systems improved. I combine this with 1000mg of vitamin c and vitamin b12, and I swear by it. The tablets are really small and easy to swallow.

Easy to take, very small pills

Thought I would order these as there was a lot of coverage on the news about the benefit of taking this vitamin supplement. So far, so good, not colds, flu or the dreaded Covid, although I don't know how much they will protect me against it. It's always good to follow scientific advice, and these are good value for money and hopefully doing their job in providing me with a vitamin which I am lacking.

Sea Moss Is A Multi Vitamin On Steroids

Most multi vitamin pills have a long list of ingredients, but with nowhere near enough of each to really do anything.

Minerals

About 57% of people are deficient in mineral intake.

Sea Moss is rich in almost all minerals needed by the body.

These include Iodine, Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc, Sodium, Sulfur, Phosphorus, Iron, Selenium, Manganese, Chlorine, Copper, Bromine, Silicon, Nitrogen.

Minerals are crucial for numerous physiological processes and structural functions in the human body.

A deficiency in minerals can:

  1. Bone and Tooth Issues: Insufficient calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium can lead to weakened bones (osteoporosis) and dental problems.
  2. Muscle Weakness and Cramps: A lack of minerals like potassium, calcium, and magnesium can result in muscle cramps, weakness, or irregular heart rhythms.
  3. Anemia: Iron deficiency can lead to anemia, resulting in fatigue, weakness, and paleness.
  4. Thyroid Dysfunction: Iodine deficiency can cause goiter (an enlarged thyroid) and hypothyroidism, leading to fatigue, weight gain, and cold sensitivity.
  5. Immune Dysfunction: Insufficient zinc or selenium can weaken the immune response, making one more susceptible to infections.
  6. Growth and Development Issues: In children, mineral deficiencies can hinder growth and cognitive development.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, is a vital antioxidant that protects cells from damage, aids in the production of collagen for skin, tendons, and blood vessels, and supports immune function.

Vitamin A

Vitamin A is essential for vision, as it's a critical component of the visual pigment in the retina. It also supports immune function, skin health, and proper growth and development. Deficiencies in vitamin A can lead to night blindness and compromise immune responses, among other issues.

Vitamin K

Vitamin K is crucial for blood clotting, ensuring that minor cuts or injuries don't lead to excessive bleeding. Additionally, it plays a role in bone health, aiding in the regulation of calcium within bones and the bloodstream. A deficiency in vitamin K can result in prolonged bleeding and increased risk of bone fractures.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E acts primarily as an antioxidant, protecting cells from the damage caused by free radicals and potentially reducing the risk of chronic diseases. It also supports immune function and skin health. A deficiency in vitamin E is rare but can lead to nerve and muscle damage, as well as impaired immune response.

Vitamin B1

Vitamin B1, also known as thiamine, is essential for converting food into energy, particularly carbohydrates. It plays a crucial role in nerve function and aids in the proper functioning of the heart and muscles. A deficiency in thiamine can lead to beriberi, a condition characterized by fatigue, muscle weakness, and potential heart problems.

Vitamin B2

Vitamin B2, also known as riboflavin, is vital for energy production and the metabolism of fats, drugs, and steroids. It also helps to maintain healthy skin, eyes, and nerve functions. A deficiency in riboflavin can result in sore throat, redness and swelling of the lining of the mouth and throat, cracks or sores on the outsides of the lips (cheilosis) and at the corners of the mouth (angular stomatitis), inflammation and redness of the tongue (magenta tongue), and a moist, scaly skin inflammation (seborrheic dermatitis).

Vitamin B3

Vitamin B3, also known as niacin, is essential for converting food into energy and helps maintain the health of the skin, nerves, and digestive system. It plays a role in DNA repair and the production of certain stress and sex-related hormones in the adrenal glands. A deficiency in niacin can lead to pellagra, characterized by symptoms such as skin inflammation, diarrhea, dementia, and sores in the mouth.

Vitamin B5

Vitamin B5, also known as pantothenic acid, is essential for the synthesis and metabolism of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates, which the body uses for energy. It also plays a vital role in the production of hormones and cholesterol. A deficiency in vitamin B5 is rare but can result in symptoms like fatigue, irritability, and numbness.

Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6, also known as pyridoxine, is crucial for brain development and function, helping the body produce the neurotransmitters necessary for proper brain function. It also plays a role in producing hormones, including serotonin and norepinephrine, and helps the body maintain a healthy immune system. A deficiency in vitamin B6 can lead to anemia, rashes, and nerve problems like tingling and numbness.

Vitamin B9

Vitamin B9, also known as folate or folic acid in its synthetic form, is vital for DNA synthesis and cell division, especially during periods of rapid growth such as pregnancy. It aids in the formation of red blood cells and is crucial for preventing neural tube defects in developing fetuses. A deficiency can lead to anemia and increased levels of homocysteine, which is associated with heart disease.

Choline

Choline is an essential nutrient vital for liver function, normal brain development, nerve function, and muscle movement.

It helps in the synthesis of certain neurotransmitters, notably acetylcholine, which plays a role in memory and mood.

Choline is also involved in processes that metabolize fats and cholesterol and transport them out of the liver, ensuring its proper function.
