At Natural Foundation LTD you have the right to a 30 day return period after receiving in the post.
If you purchased more than 1 bottle you will need to return the remaining bottles unopened, unused or tapered with and with the seals still intact.
The packaging must remain in the same state that it left dispatch or it will not be accepted under the Distance Selling Act. The return is at the customers expense and contact information can be found in our contact section. The cost of the product will be refunded minus the courier.
To protect us from fraud this is only valid on your first order 30 days of receiving your product.
If the customer finds the product is defective or received the incorrect product Natural Foundation Ltd will replace with no extra cost to the consumer so long as the packing is not damaged and seal remains unbroken. If the product internally is damaged; notify us and we will determine the course of action needed. If at fault of manufacturer and not due to transportation we will enter a refund/replacement protocol.
Upon receipt of the product the consumer must check the package that it is compliance with their order and that the packaging is sealed and unbroken. If there is any discrepancy with the packaging due to transportation it is up to the customer to check with the courier about the protocols for receipt of damaged goods.
Do not accept a product if the packaging appears tampered, damaged or the seal is broken due to transportation.

The Science Behind 5HTP
Depression
Several small clinical trials have found that 5-HTP is as effective as antidepressants. For example, in a six-week clinical trial, 63 people were given either 5-HTP (100 mg three times a day) or an antidepressant (50 mg three times a day). The 5-HTP was found to be as effective as the antidepressant, with fewer side effects.
Due to the small size of the study, more research is needed for this to be conclusive.
Another study that did meet the quality criteria found that 5-HTP worked better than placebo at alleviating depression.
Sleep
In one study, people who took 5-HTP went to sleep quicker and slept more deeply than those who took a placebo. Researchers recommend 200 to 400 mg at night to stimulate serotonin, but it may take 6 to 12 weeks to be fully effective.
Weight Loss
A few small studies have investigated whether 5-HTP can help people lose weight. In one study, those who took 5-HTP ate fewer calories, although they were not trying to diet, compared to those who took placebo. Researchers believe 5-HTP led people to feel more full (satiated) after eating, so they ate less.
A follow-up study, which compared 5-HTP to placebo during a diet and non-diet period, found that those who took 5-HTP lost about 2% of body weight during the non-diet period and another 3% when they dieted. Those taking placebo did not lose any weight. However, doses used in these studies were high, and many people experienced side effects such as nausea. If you are seriously overweight, see your health care provider before taking any weight-loss aid. Remember that you will need to change your eating and exercise habits to lose more than a few pounds.
